At ECAD in Łódź, CNC machining covers milling, driven-tool turning, wire EDM and surface grinding. Four DN Solutions and Mazak machines perform 3- and 5-axis milling at one facility on Elektronowa 6. Cutting, bending, welding and 3D inspection can be combined in one project.
We can cut and bend material before machining, then weld the machined component into an assembly and inspect it with a 3D scanner as part of the same project.

Four CNC services at one facility in Łódź
At ECAD, CNC machining includes milling, turning with driven tooling, wire EDM and surface grinding, all carried out at our facility at Elektronowa 6. Each service has its own page describing the machines; the full list is available in our machine park (PL). For complex shapes, our DN Solutions DVF 6500 and Mazak CV5-500 machines can mill multiple sides in a single setup, from one-off parts to series.
CNC Milling
3-axis and 5-axis, on four machining centres DN Solutions (PL) (DVF 6500, DNM 500 II, DNM 4500) and Mazak CV5-500 (PL): fitted parts, bodies, housings and plates. More: CNC milling in Łódź (PL).
CNC Turning
With driven tools, on three Mazak lathes (PL): we turn and mill shafts, sleeves and other rotating parts in a single setup. More: CNC turning (PL).
Wire Electrical Discharge Machining
On the wire EDM machine Mitsubishi FA20 (PL) we cut precise contours with wire: dies, punches and details from hard or hardened materials. More: wire electrical discharge machining (PL).
Surface Grinding
On the Okamoto (PL) grinder, with an 800 × 400 mm table, we grind parts after CNC milling or heat treatment when precise flatness is required. More: surface grinding (PL).
CNC and plastics machining: materials and grades
We machine structural, stainless, tool and hardened steels, nickel alloys, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, plastics and rubber. The table lists example grades; bracketed numbers and designations follow EN, PN or AISI references as shown on drawings.

These grades are examples, not an exhaustive list or a guarantee of achievable tolerances. If you do not know the grade, describe the application. We confirm the grade, dimensions and tolerances for each component when preparing a quotation.
CNC machining of steel and alloys
We machine structural, heat-treatable, tool and hardened steels on machining centres. For stainless steel, duplex stainless steel and Inconel, we select tools and parameters according to the material grade.
CNC aluminium machining
We mill and turn aluminium, copper, brass and bronze. Please specify the material when requesting a quotation. More: aluminium milling (PL) and aluminium turning (PL).
CNC plastics machining
We mill and turn POM, polyamide, PTFE, PEEK, PE, PP and rubber, selecting parameters for the material. More: plastics milling (PL) and plastics turning (PL).
CNC processing in the production chain: from material to finished assembly
Before CNC machining, we can cut or bend the material. Afterwards, we can weld the part into an assembly and check it with a 3D scanner Scantech NimbleTrack (PL) and a Mitutoyo (PL) height gauge. We select the sequence of operations to suit the component.
Cutting and Sheet metal bending
Before CNC machining, we can cut sheet metal by laser, waterjet or plasma-gas and bend sheet metal, tubes and profiles. Laser cutting of tubes and profiles is planned to begin in early 2027.

We mill and turn using driven tooling, perform wire electrical discharge machining, and grind surfaces: four services in our own machine shop.
Welding
We weld machined components by hand and on FANUC robots in a complete assembly. We also weld for the railway sector according to EN 15085-2 (CL 2, operating P).

What to submit for a CNC machining quotation
We quote for CNC machining based on a 3D model or drawing; we do not have a price list per piece or per hour. Please indicate in your request whether it is milling, turning, wire electrical discharge machining, or surface grinding; if you are unsure, simply send the file, and we will select the technology ourselves.
Examples of materials and grades are listed in the materials table. We confirm the grade, dimensions and tolerances for each component when preparing a quotation.

Questions about CNC machining
What CNC machining services does ECAD perform?
We provide four CNC services at our facility at Elektronowa 6 in Łódź: 3- and 5-axis milling, turning with driven tooling, wire EDM and surface grinding. See our machine park (PL) for the machine list and CNC milling (PL) for service details.
What are the differences between these four CNC services?
Milling and turning shape the component: milling is done on machining centres, while turning is done on lathes with driven tooling. We grind surfaces after milling or heat treatment when required.
What metals and plastics do you machine on CNC?
We machine structural, stainless (304 and 316), tool and hardened steels, duplex stainless steel, Inconel, aluminium, copper, brass and bronze. We also machine POM, polyamide, PTFE, PEEK, PE, PP and rubber. Material numbers and designations are listed in the materials table. We confirm the grade, dimensions and tolerances for each component when preparing a quotation.
Do you mill 5-axis?
Yes. We mill 5-axis parts on the DN Solutions DVF 6500 and Mazak CV5-500, and 3-axis parts on the DN Solutions DNM 4500 and DNM 500 II. More: CNC milling (PL).
How much does CNC machining cost?
We do not have a price list; we quote each order based on a 3D model or drawing. The price depends on the material, dimensions and tolerances, service, quantity and lead time.
From how many pieces do you accept CNC machining orders?
From a single piece to a series, regardless of whether it is milling, turning, wire EDM or grinding.
Will you combine CNC machining with cutting, bending or welding?
Yes. We can cut or bend the material beforehand, weld the machined component into an assembly and inspect it as part of the same order. See comprehensive production (PL).
