Stainless steel bag emptying station

The ECAD bag emptying station is our own stainless steel design: an enclosed chamber with a lid and viewing window, a four-bag feed hopper and an outlet with a Tri-Clamp connection. The first version was built for standard cement bags. Upon agreement, we adapt it for other bulk materials.

Construction
AISI 304 stainless steel
Dimensions and weight
840 × 870 × 1750 mm, 110 kg
Bag
standard cement bag, 25–35 kg
Control
automatic and manual mode

We specify the throughput in our quotation for your material and bag. Full technical data can be found further down the page.

Bag emptying in an enclosed chamber

The chamber is enclosed and the station operates with an external dust extractor connected to a spiral duct spigot. This limits dust emissions into the hall. The result depends on the material and how the bag is opened.

  • Lid with viewing window

The sloped lid has a handle and a polycarbonate viewing window showing the inside of the chamber. Arms and gas struts hold the lid open.

  • Chamber and table

An EPDM seal runs around the chamber opening. Inside sits a table with a toothed bar and pins, folded by a pneumatic cylinder.

  • Feed hopper and outlet

Below the chamber is a conical hopper with a capacity of four cement bags, ending in an outlet with a Tri-Clamp connection.

  • Frame and electrical enclosure

The chamber and hopper are supported by a frame on legs with adjustable feet. Next to the hopper is the electrical enclosure.

Cement and other bulk materials

We built the station for standard cement bags, 25–35 kg. Upon agreement, we adapt it for other bulk materials. Before preparing a quote, we agree with you on the material, bag, discharge point and operating environment.

The station described on this page is designed for cement. Its operating manual excludes caked or moisture-reactive materials, wet bags and operation without dust extraction.

The adaptation is designed by our design office. If the dust is combustible or explosive, please state this in your enquiry. This affects whether we take on the order.

  • Material

Name, moisture content, and tendency to dust and cake.

  • Bag

  • Discharge point

Where the material goes: connection type and outlet height.

  • Operating environment

    Hall conditions and hygiene requirements.

How the bag emptying station works

The station has two operating modes. In automatic mode, a single press of Start runs the entire bag emptying sequence, while in manual mode the operator controls it step by step.

  1. Bag on the table
  2. Bag emptying
  3. Vibration and outlet

Bag on the table

The operator opens the lid, places the bag on the table, closes the lid and presses Start. With the lid open, the station will not start: the lid safety switch prevents this.

Isometric close-up of the table: toothed bar with triangular teeth between the table halves and rows of pins on both sides.
Serrated blade between the table halves and rows of retention pins.

Bag emptying

The serrated blade slits the bag while the pins hold it in place. A pneumatic cylinder folds the table via scissor arms and the bag empties.

Front view: control panel with seven control elements, conical hopper with an outlet and electrical enclosure with a round louvre below.
Control panel, hopper with outlet and electrical enclosure, front view.

Vibration and outlet

Once the table folds, table and hopper vibration assists emptying, and the table returns to its home position. The material leaves the hopper through an outlet with a Tri-Clamp connection that links the station to your conveying system or plant.

A level sensor in the hopper signals a low material level. The views come from the station drawings prepared by our design office.

Custom bag emptying station

We do not publish prices. We quote each station based on the description of your material, bag and installation. The more items from this list you send, the fewer follow-up questions we will need to ask:

  • name and description of the bulk material
  • bag type and weight
  • number of bags emptied per hour or per shift
  • where the material is routed after emptying
  • photos and dimensions of the installation space
  • hygiene requirements and shop floor conditions
  • whether the dust is combustible or explosive

Questions about the bag emptying station

What materials is the bag emptying station designed for?

We built it for standard cement bags, 25–35 kg. By arrangement, we adapt it to other bulk materials. The operating manual for the station described on this page excludes caked or moisture-reactive materials and wet bags. Tell us what material and bags you are emptying, and we will work out how to adapt it. Start with the quote form.

How does the bag emptying station work?

The operator places the bag on the table, closes the lid and presses Start. The toothed blade slits the bag, the pins hold it in place, and the pneumatic cylinder folds the table so the bag empties. Table and hopper vibration assist emptying, and the material drops into a four-bag hopper and through a Tri-Clamp outlet into your installation. Step-by-step diagrams are in the How the station works section.

What are the dimensions, weight and power supply of the bag emptying station?

The station measures 840 × 870 × 1750 mm (depth × width × height), and 1970 mm in height with the lid open. It weighs 110 kg. It requires a 230 V AC power supply and 8 bar compressed air, while the control circuit runs on 24 V DC. Full specifications are in the Technical data section.

Does the bag emptying station have the CE mark?

Yes, the ECAD bag emptying station has the CE mark. Technical specifications of the completed station are in the Technical specifications section.

Does the station reduce dust emission?

The chamber is enclosed, and its interior can be seen through a window in the lid. The station has a spigot for a spiral duct and operates with an external dust extractor, which reduces dust emission to the shop floor. The manual prohibits operation without the extractor running. We do not promise zero dusting, as the result depends on the material and how the bag is opened.

How much does a bag emptying station cost and how many bags does it empty per hour?

We do not quote prices or throughput without data on the material and bag. We prepare a quote based on the description of the material, bag and installation as well as the quantity, and we state the throughput in the offer. Describe your application in the quote form.

Will you build a station to our requirements?

Yes, by arrangement. We design and build custom machines. Station adaptation is designed by our design office, and we weld stainless steel at our plant in Lodz.

What should I send to get an offer for a bag emptying station?

A description of the material and bag, discharge point, photos of the workstation and requirements. Files: PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, photos, ZIP and 7Z; up to 10 files and 100 MB. Send them via the quote form.
