Quality and welding certificates
Production quality, environmental management and welding for the rail industry are confirmed by four current certificates: EN 15085-2, EN ISO 3834-2, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. They were issued by independent certification bodies.

Welding for the rail industry: EN 15085-2, level CL 2
The EN 15085-2 certificate confirms that we manufacture new welded assemblies and components for rail vehicles at classification level CL 2: components of medium safety relevance. The activity covers manufacturing (code P), excluding design and purchasing of finished welded parts.
We expand the welding processes, materials and thicknesses covered by the certificate per order with new welding procedure qualifications (WPQR) and welding procedure specifications (WPS). What level CL 2 means
The EN 15085-2:2020 standard has three manufacturer classification levels, CL 1–CL 3, depending on the safety relevance of the welded components. CL 2 covers components of medium safety relevance, with only CL 1 having higher requirements.
What activity P covers
In the standard, code P covers the manufacture, modification and testing of welded rail vehicles and their parts, including spare parts. Our certificate covers the manufacture of new assemblies and components. This is distinct from codes D (design), M (maintenance) or S (purchasing and supply).
We expand the scope per order
We qualify new welding processes, materials and thicknesses through additional WPS and WPQR tailored to a specific order.

How we maintain our certificates

Certification audit
An independent body audits our production, documentation and management system before issuing a certificate.
Certificate and register entry
Following a successful audit, we receive a certificate with a number and expiry date. The EN 15085-2 certificate is published in the ECWRV register.
Surveillance during validity
During the certificate’s validity period, the certification body conducts follow-up surveillance audits in accordance with the certification terms.
Scope expansion
We qualify new welding processes, materials and thicknesses through additional WPS and WPQR documents for specific orders.

Do you hold an EN 15085-2 certificate for the rail industry and what is its CL level?
Yes. Our EN 15085-2 certificate covers classification level CL 2 and activity type P (production): it covers the manufacture of new welded assemblies and parts for rail vehicles, excluding design and excluding purchase of finished welded parts. The certificate is valid until 24.08.2028.
What exactly does your EN 15085-2 certificate cover?
The full scope (welding processes, materials and thicknesses) is specified in the certificate itself, available for download above. We expand the scope for specific orders with new welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welding procedure qualification records (WPQR), so if your project requires a different process or material, we will check this when preparing your quote.
Do you hold a welding quality management system certificate?
Yes, EN ISO 3834-2: comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding. It covers processes 135 (MAG) and 141 (TIG) as well as material groups 1.1, 1.2 and 8.1 (austenitic stainless steels with Cr ≤ 19%) according to ISO/TR 15608. Valid until 24.09.2030.
Are the certification bodies that issued your certificates independent and accredited?
Yes. The EN 15085-2 and EN ISO 3834-2 certificates were issued by TÜV Rheinland Polska Sp. z o.o., a body accredited by PCA under AC 141. The ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates were issued by LL-C (Certification) Czech Republic a.s., accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (ČIA, No. 3137; IAF MLA mark on the certificate). Both bodies are independent of ECAD.

You can check the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates using the verification code on the LL-C website (www.ll-c.info, also accessible via ll-c.net/verification/). The codes are listed next to each certificate above. Can you perform welding using a process or material outside your current certificate?
We expand the scope of our certificates for specific orders: for a new process, material or material thickness, we prepare an additional welding procedure specification (WPS) and welding procedure qualification record (WPQR). Let us know what you need, and we will check this when preparing your quote.

At our plant at ul. Elektronowa 6 in Lodz. The EN ISO 3834-2 certificate explicitly states this address as the production site, ISO 9001 as the service provision site, and EN 15085-2 is issued for the plant address. ISO 14001 is issued for our registered office address (KRS), ul. 3 Maja 64/66.
