Design office in Lodz

The ECAD design office specializes in mechanical engineering design: parts, assemblies and equipment. We design in Siemens NX (3 licences) and Solid Edge (8 licences): we build the 3D model and prepare manufacturing documentation for production in our plant in Lodz.

We design a part or assembly to be manufactured in the same plant, based on your sketch, requirements or existing documentation. From the model and documentation, we manufacture the part from a single piece using our own machine park: cutting, bending, CNC machining and welding in a single plant at Elektronowa 6.

What the ECAD design office does

Engineering services at ECAD are handled by our design office: design engineers working in Siemens NX and Solid Edge. We complete the design of equipment, parts and assemblies with a 3D model and manufacturing documentation, and manufacture the part at our plant at Elektronowa 6.

Mechanical design and 3D models

We build a 3D model of a part, assembly or piece of equipment in Siemens NX or Solid Edge, based on a sketch, requirements or documentation you already have. We also design steel structures, such as stairs and platforms.

Manufacturing documentation

From the 3D model, we prepare manufacturing documentation: dimensioned drawings and bills of materials, ready for production in our machine park.

Structural FEA

Our design office also performs FEA (finite element analysis), for example for platform structures.

From enquiry to production documentation

We prepare the 3D model and documentation in the same plant where we subsequently manufacture the part. If your project involves a new machine rather than an individual part, see custom machine design and building: the machine is designed by the same design office.

  1. From you

    Enquiry and input data

You describe the purpose of the part or assembly and attach whatever you already have: a sketch, requirements, old documentation or photos.

What to send to the design office

We do not price design and documentation from a price list. We quote each order individually based on the data you send. The more details you provide about the part or assembly, the more accurate the quote.

The order price will depend on:

  • the number and complexity of parts or assemblies
  • the input data you already have (sketch, requirements, documentation, or the physical part for scanning)
  • the material and quantity to be manufactured
  • manufacturing method (cutting, bending, CNC machining, welding)
  • lead time

  1. Send input dataA sketch, requirements, old documentation, a 3D model or photos of the part. We accept PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, images (JPG, PNG, TIFF) as well as ZIP and 7Z archives; up to 10 files, up to 100 MB in total.
  2. Describe the orderWhat the part or assembly is used for, what material it is to be made of and in what quantity, if known.
  3. We will reply with questionsWe will review your submission and let you know what additional data we need.

Design office in Lodz, ul. Elektronowa 6

The ECAD plant at ul. Elektronowa 6 in Lodz is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:00. We have been operating since 2008 and employ 25 people. We hold an ISO 9001:2015 certificate for metal forming and machining of metal parts as well as machine design and building. See contact and directions and our full range of services.

Questions about the design office

What does the ECAD design office do?

Our design office prepares mechanical engineering designs: we design parts and assemblies in Siemens NX and Solid Edge, build a 3D model and prepare manufacturing documentation for production. We also design custom machines and models based on a 3D scan in reverse engineering.

What software do you design in?

We design in Siemens NX (3 licences) and Solid Edge (8 licences).

Can you also design and build a new machine?

Yes. A custom machine is designed by the same design office, and its parts are manufactured at our plant: cutting, bending, CNC machining and welding. See machine design and building.

Do you design steel structures, e.g. stairs and platforms?

Yes. In addition to parts, assemblies and machines, our design office designs steel structures, such as stairs and platforms. We prepare a 3D model and manufacturing documentation in Siemens NX or Solid Edge. We also fabricate stairs and platforms at our plant and install them on site: see steel stairs and platforms. Send a sketch, site dimensions or requirements via the quote form.

Does the design office perform FEA analyses?

Yes. Our design office performs FEA (finite element analysis) of structures, for example platforms. If you need an analysis, mention it in the quote form.

I have no drawing or 3D model, only an old part: can you recreate it?

Yes. We scan the part, even if worn, using a Scantech NimbleTrack-C Gen2 3D scanner, at our plant or at your site. The design office builds a CAD model from the scan, and we manufacture the new part in our own machine park. See reverse engineering and 3D scanning.

What data and files should I send?

Send whatever you already have: a sketch, requirements, old documentation, a 3D model or photos of the part. You can upload files via the quote form: up to 10 files, up to 100 MB in total.

How much do the design and documentation cost?

We do not price design and documentation from a price list. Each order is quoted individually based on the data you send. The price depends on the number and complexity of parts, the input data you already have, material, quantity, manufacturing method and lead time.
